Job Title Mechanic
Location Alliston, Ontario
Duration 2 to 3+ week contract starting May 19
Shift Options
Days: 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Afternoons: 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM
Weekend work and overtime may be required
Position Summary We are supporting a high-priority automotive repair campaign involving large-scale radiator replacements on completed vehicle units. This role requires skilled automotive mechanics or certified technicians capable of working in a fast-paced production environment while following standardized repair procedures and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
Remove and replace vehicle radiators following standardized work instructions
Drain and refill coolant systems
Conduct leak checks and basic validation testing
Complete reassembly work in accordance with operational standards
Utilize hoists/lifts safely and efficiently
Work alongside trainers and production teams to maintain throughput targets
Follow all safety and PPE requirements onsite
Support continuous improvement efforts as repair procedures evolve
Required Qualifications
Licensed Automotive Mechanic OR Automotive Technician Certification
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on automotive repair experience
Ability to work full shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
Comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environment
Ability to quickly learn standardized repair procedures
Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in high-volume automotive repair or manufacturing environments
Experience with cooling systems/radiator work
Previous OEM or dealership experience considered an asset
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Mechanical competency and repair quality
Ability to follow standardized repair procedures
Productivity and repair throughput
Attendance and shift reliability
Safety compliance and PPE adherenceAbility to adapt quickly during onsite training
Teamwork and communication within production environment
Ability to maintain expected repair times (targeting approximately 1 to 1.5 hours per unit initially)
Pay&Benefits The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$40.00 and CA$40.00.
