Full Stack Engineer (New Tecumseth)

Full Stack Developer (Java / Angular) – Modernization Project Our client is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer with solid analytical capabilities who can bridge business processes with modern application development. This role will play a key part in modernizing legacy PeopleSoft customizations, working closely with SMEs to reverse engineer existing functionality and deliver scalable, forward-looking solutions. You’ll be working across a modern tech stack including Java (Spring Boot), Angular, and PostgreSQL, contributing to the transformation of critical HR systems integrated with SAP MyHR. Key Responsibilities Analysis & Discovery - Partner with business SMEs and technical stakeholders to: - Analyze existing business processes and underlying legacy systems - Identify and document gaps between current PeopleSoft functionality and SAP MyHR capabilities - Translate business needs and gaps into clear, actionable technical requirements Solution Design & Development - Design and build modern applications and services to replace legacy functionality using: - Java (Spring Boot) - Angular (UI) - PostgreSQL - Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and best practices - Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable code Integration & Data Management - Design and implement integrations across: - SAP MyHR - Local/internal applications - Data lake and warehouse environments - Support data migration and transformation activities - Ensure strong data integrity, consistency, and auditability Collaboration & Delivery - Collaborate with: - Local IT teams - Regional project teams and system integrators - Business stakeholders - Participate in solution design reviews, testing, and validation cycles - Support production deployment and post-go-live stabilization Qualifications - 5+ years of software development experience - Strong hands-on experience with: - Java / Spring Boot - Angular (or similar modern front-end frameworks) - SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) - Proven experience working within enterprise application environments Core Skills - Ability to analyze and reverse engineer legacy systems - Strong experience translating business requirements into technical solutions - Solid understanding of: - RESTful APIs - Application architecture and design patterns - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ov6tb
