Food Service Worker (Schomberg)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Food Service Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality meal service and support for our summer camp program. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, customer service, and maintaining food safety standards. Duties - Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and safety standards - Assist with food handling, cooking, and meal preparation tasks - Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas - Serve residents or patients with courtesy and professionalism - Maintain accurate food inventory and assist with stock rotation - Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene - Support in cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment and utensils - Assist with setting up dining areas for meal service - Manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery of meals during scheduled hours Skills - Experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments preferred - Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques - Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor - Knowledge of food handling, safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Good time management skills to meet meal schedules and deadlines - Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team - Prior kitchen experience or food service background is highly desirable This position is essential for ensuring campers nutritional needs are met with care and professionalism.
