Visual Effects Artist This Game Studio Surrey

This Game Studio is looking for a talented VFX Artist to join our team. If you have a passion for mobile game systems and a desire to work in a truly cross-functional, small studio setting - we would love to hear from you! This is a fully remote contract position in BC. Responsibilities: Create compelling realtime UI and In game visual effects, and particles that align with the game's art direction. Ensure effects are highly optimized for mobile hardware performance without compromising visual fidelity. Work with designers and engineers to integrate effects into gameplay, UI/UX, and environments Develop textures, materials and meshes specifically for effects. Refine effects based on feedback from art leads and team members. Qualifications: Strong experience with Unity Proficiency in digital art tools like Photoshop, Maya, Blender or specialized VFX tools. Understanding of mobile rendering limitations and optimization techniques Solid understanding of colour, lighting, motion and composition. Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with creative and technical departments Able to work individually and in small teams Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Capacity to find creative solutions to technical constraints Portfolio demonstrating real-time visual effects, specifically in a stylized or realistic mobile game style. 3+ years in game development, with at least one shipped mobile title preferred.
