Multimedia & 3D Learning Experience Designer (Surrey)

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Multimedia & 3D Learning Experience Designer to join our client's dynamic global team. In this role, you will design immersive, visually engaging online training videos and realistic 3D simulations that explain complex technical concepts, product features, and device installation processes. This position requires a unique blend of instructional design knowledge, advanced 3D modeling/animation expertise, and video production skills to take training content from inception to completion. You will work within a fast-paced environment and actively integrate cutting-edge generative AI tools to accelerate development timelines and scale content creation. This is a Temporary engagement requiring a Hybrid schedule, with the expectation to work on-site once a month (as needed). Candidates must be local to the Vancouver area and will primarily work from a home office workplace. Responsibilities - Video Production & Motion Graphics: Produce professional instructional videos by editing and assembling video footage, animations, and graphics using Adobe Premiere Pro. Utilize Adobe After Effects to design and implement motion graphics, visual effects, and dynamic text overlays to enhance clarity and learner engagement. - 3D Simulation & Modeling: Develop realistic and accurate 3D simulations of installation processes, effectively demonstrating proper techniques, technical concepts, and potential challenges. - Instructional Design & Scriptwriting: Apply instructional design methodologies to ensure learning effectiveness and alignment with business needs. Write clear scripts for instructional videos and translate complex technical ideas into easily understandable visual demonstrations. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, technical documentation teams, and engineers to ensure the technical accuracy and instructional effectiveness of all video content. - Project Management & Ownership: Take full ownership of design projects from inception to completion through self-directed project management, iterating on video content based on feedback from internal stakeholders. - Asset & Brand Management: Manage video assets and project files while ensuring consistent branding across all final deliverables. - AI Integration & Continuous Improvement: Integrate generative AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini, ChatGPT, NotebookLM, Adobe Firefly, etc.) into learning design processes to accelerate timelines. Continuously hone and enhance skills with every project, participating in a dynamic cycle of ongoing development. Requirements - Experience Level: 3+ years of professional multimedia design experience, specifically in 3D product visualization, animation, modeling, and video editing (preferably within an instructional or technical content development environment). - Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Visual Communications Design, Instructional Design, Industrial Design, 3D Animation). - 3D Animation & Modeling Software: Demonstrated expertise in Blender for 3D modeling, rigging, animation, and rendering. - Video Editing & Motion Graphics Expertise: Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. - General Software Proficiency: Strong familiarity across the Adobe Suite (including Illustrator and Photoshop) and experience with 3D software (Blender, Maya, SolidWorks, 3DS Max, Rhinoceros 3D, or similar). - AI & Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated interest in AI and hands-on experience using generative AI tools in content development or delivery. Creative and analytical mindset to adapt to rapidly evolving technologies. - Production & Storytelling Skills: Strong understanding of video production workflows (pre-production, production, and post-production) alongside excellent visual storytelling abilities and a keen eye for detail and accuracy. - Communication & Portfolio: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong collaboration capabilities, and a required portfolio or reel demonstrating relevant 3D animation, modeling, and video editing work. - Experience working within a fast-paced, cross-functional global education or learning environment.
