Visual Effects Artist - surrey, Surrey

This Game Studio is looking for a talented VFX Artist to join our team. If you have a passion for mobile game systems and a desire to work in a truly cross-functional, small studio setting - we would love to hear from you! This is a fully remote contract position in BC. Responsibilities: - Create compelling realtime UI and In game visual effects, and particles that align with the game's art direction. - Ensure effects are highly optimized for mobile hardware performance without compromising visual fidelity. - Work with designers and engineers to integrate effects into gameplay, UI/UX, and environments - Develop textures, materials and meshes specifically for effects. - Refine effects based on feedback from art leads and team members. Qualifications: - Strong experience with Unity - Proficiency in digital art tools like Photoshop, Maya, Blender or specialized VFX tools. - Understanding of mobile rendering limitations and optimization techniques - Strong understanding of colour, lighting, motion and composition. - Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with creative and technical departments - Able to work individually and in small teams - Great verbal and written communication skills - Capacity to find creative solutions to technical constraints - Portfolio demonstrating real-time visual effects, specifically in a stylized or realistic mobile game style. - 3+ years in game development, with at least one shipped mobile title preferred. - You must reside in BC and be qualified to work in Canada Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2nnjsn
