About the Role: Discovery Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced HCA Instructor to teach on-site online in- person Theory . This position offers an opportunity to mentor and shape the next generation of nursing professionals through engaging and comprehensive instruction. This part time role and has the potential to lead to future instructional opportunities, advancing your career in education. Start date: May 23, 2026 Rate Range: $33.00-$35.00/hour Schedule: Tuesday to Thursday (5 :30pm to 9:30pm) and Saturday (8:30am to 5:00pm ) plus 2 hours of office hour per week. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate student learning in classroom, providing guidance and support throughout. Ensure compliance with program accreditation standards, regulatory guidelines, and college policies. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and evaluations. Execute lesson plans using preset curriculum that aligns with PTIRU compliance (e xtensive in-house curriculum orientation and training provided) . Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback. Maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment. Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing education. Qualifications: Minimum 2 ,8 00 hours of nursing experience , inclusive of either maternity or mental health or Acute Care . Current full registration with the BCCNM as an LPN, RN, or RDPN required. Previous instructor experience is an asset. Experience with Office 365 and Student Information Systems (SIS) is an asset. Strong communication and mentorship skills. Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles. Commitment to fostering a positive educational experience. Ability to work from Site. Required Experience: In a Long-term Care facility in Canada within the last two years, or relevant experience.
