Overview
Community Club Instructors are the architects of engagement at RCOA. In this role, you will design and lead theme-based units that change each term, keeping the curriculum fresh and exciting. Our Community Club classes are known for being high-energy environments where students learn by doing. Rather than traditional lectures, you will facilitate a personalized educational journey through project-based activities that inspire lifelong learning and spiritual growth.Key Responsibilities
Unit Design: Plan and execute creative, theme-based units that rotate each term to maintain high student engagement. Instructional Delivery: Lead high-energy, in-person classes using hands-on, project-based learning methods. Inclusive Teaching: Adapt and modify activities to ensure learning is accessible and meaningful for students of diverse abilities.Community Communication: Maintain the bridge between the classroom and home by posting weekly class summaries and highlights on Seesaw. Collaboration: Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to support the broader RCOA mission and school community. Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, Christ-centred environment where students grow in character and purpose.Core Competencies

Project-Based Mindset: Skill in translating educational themes into tangible, hands-on projects. Target Start Date: SY 2026/27 Head Count: 1 Locations: Abbotsford (Gr. 3/4, in person on Thursdays), Burnaby (Gr. 4&5, in person on Mondays), Ridge Meadows (Gr. 3-5, in person on Wednesdays), Surrey (Gr. 4-7, in person on Fridays) Job and Location
Job Status: In Person Job Type: Part-Time FTE: 0.1201-0.126 Work Location: Abbotsford, Burnaby, Ridge Meadows, Surrey Compensation&Benefits
Pay: CA $25.00– 34.00 per hour Benefits: Extended Health&Dental; Pension plan available upon eligibility. Requirements&Qualifications
Faith Requirements: Candidates must be Christian, agree with the RCOA Statement of Faith, and be active participants in a Christian church community. Educational Background: Experienced educators are encouraged to apply. Experience: Prior experience in project-based learning, online learning environments, or working with diverse learner profiles is highly valued.Character: Must demonstrate a lifestyle and conduct that aligns with the Christian mission and values of the Regent Christian Academy Society.
