Production Worker - Weekend (Surrey)

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Preparation of raw materials including chopping. - Completion of pre-assembly work is not limited to stock assembly lines, set up belts, cut open boxes. - Application of labels, collection of materials, assembling materials into packages/product cartons. - Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMPs). - Ensure that the plant cleanliness is maintained throughout the day. - Wrapping skids up to 7ft high. - Operate pallet jack to move skids. - Assemble/Disassemble equipment as required. - Cleaning scales (requires bending/strenuous work). - Sanitation of equipment and work area as assigned. - Other tasks as assigned by Operations Manager and/or Production Supervisor. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Must be reliable and punctual. - Ability to perform under pressure and work in a quick-paced environment. - Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. - Ability to work well in a team environment. - Highly flexible and ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision. - Strong work ethic with a high regard for accuracy and quality. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - First Aid, Forklift and/or Food Safety certifications are an asset. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - Must be able to work on the weekend (Friday-Sunday), either 4am-4pm or 4pm-4am. - This position requires successful completion of a clear background check.. - Steel Toed Safety Shoes are required, Personal Protective Equipment will be provided onsite. - Starting wage is $19.79.
