Website Designer (Surrey)

Overview We are seeking a talented and innovative Website Designer to join our dynamic digital team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually compelling, user-friendly websites that align with brand strategies and enhance user experience. This role requires a solid foundation in digital design, interaction design, and web development, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality visual and functional solutions across various platforms. The Website Designer will collaborate closely with marketing, development, and content teams to produce engaging online experiences that drive engagement and support business goals. Responsibilities - Design and develop responsive, aesthetically appealing websites using tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite. - Create engaging motion graphics and visual elements to enhance website interactivity and user engagement. - Develop and implement website features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and frameworks like Bootstrap, Angular, React, and Node.js. - Optimize websites for SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and visibility. - Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve user experience (UX/UI). - Maintain and update existing websites using WordPress, Drupal, SharePoint, or custom solutions; ensure website accessibility standards are met. - Collaborate with developers to implement front-end functionalities such as AJAX, SCSS, Less, and Redux. - Analyze website data using Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and other tools to assess performance metrics and inform future improvements. - Perform website maintenance tasks including troubleshooting issues, updating content, and ensuring security protocols are followed. - Stay current with industry trends in digital design, web development technologies, and digital marketing strategies to continuously enhance website quality. Requirements - Proven experience in digital design, interaction design, UX/UI principles, and graphic design. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, InVision, Sketch, Axure, Balsamiq. - Strong knowledge of front-end development including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Less), JavaScript (AJAX), PHP; familiarity with frameworks such as Bootstrap, Angular, React; experience with Node.js is a plus. - Experience working with content management systems like WordPress or Drupal. - Understanding of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards. - Data analysis skills utilizing Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to measure website performance. - Familiarity with web development tools such as Git version control system and Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs. - Knowledge of digital marketing strategies including email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or HubSpot. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate client needs into effective visual solutions. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects efficiently.
