Server/bartender City Centre (Whalley)

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and personable Server/Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring prompt and friendly service. Mix and serve drinks responsibly, adhering to all food safety and alcohol serving regulations. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations. Manage cash handling and cashiering duties efficiently, including processing payments and giving correct change. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, following food handling and safety standards. Assist with catering events, banquets, or nightclub service as needed, ensuring smooth operation from setup to cleanup. Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service. Qualifications Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, especially in fine dining, banquet settings, or nightclubs. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math for sales transactions, and accurate order calculations. Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal requirements. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
