Do you have the comedic chops to make people laugh while they learn? Are you passionate about consumer technology, PC hardware, and gaming? We’re looking for a witty and knowledgeable writer to join our growing team of multi‑channel writers to support our tech‑focused YouTube channels. Responsibilities

Write technically accurate, clear, and funny video scripts that are typically 5–10 minutes in length. Conduct research on emerging hardware trends, tech news, and gaming stories to ensure content is timely and informative. Write ‘paper edits’ that describe the script’s accompanying visuals.Work closely with Editing and Writing teams to refine video draft tone, structure, and pacing for maximum clarity and viewer engagement. Pitch ideas and collaborate with our Writing team to select topics that align with audience interests and current trends in PC hardware and gaming. Identify and interview subject matter experts to ensure topics are covered comprehensively and accurately.Assets

Prior experience writing for tech or gaming media outlets. Familiarity with collaborative tools like Google Docs, Microsoft Teams, and Airtable. Familiarity with the Linus Media Group voice and style. Qualifications

Multi‑Channel Writer – Level 2

Hiring Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 CAD per year Over two years of writing experience in tech, journalism, or script writing. Experience working in fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented writing environments. Technical understanding of how consumer tech works, with deeper knowledge in one or two niches.Proven competency juggling multiple ongoing projects at once, and articulating an explicit vision for each project. Deep understanding of the major and minor players in the tech space and how they relate to each other. Some experience writing for YouTube; understanding of hooks, pacing, outros, and thumbnails.Multi‑Channel Senior Writer – Level 3

Hiring Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 Over two years of experience in at least two of the following: tech, comedy, script writing or hosting. Elite YouTube storyteller skilled in crafting curiosity‑driven narratives that seamlessly blend high‑retention pacing with sharp analysis and gut‑busting comedy.Submits clean and trusted work with minimal edits needed. Thrives in a fast‑paced newsroom style environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously, and delivering them reliably. An expert in four or more tech subject areas and a deep understanding of the tech space. Established stature within the tech space with deep and broad industry connections.Benefits
