Kwantlen Polytechnic University is looking for a Facilities Interior Designer to contribute to renovations in a hybrid work setting. This temporary full time position is critical for planning and overseeing facility upgrades. As a Facilities Interior Designer, you will be responsible for providing technical and design support for various interior renovation projects across KPU campuses. Your work will focus on developing interior space requirements, coordinating furniture acquisition, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. You will liaise with administration, faculty, and contractors to facilitate smooth project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Manage and support renovation and refurbishment projects Develop standards for interior space and furnishings Coordinate with stakeholders for project requirements Ensure adherence to relevant building codes Monitor budgets and scheduling for multiple projects Requirements: Degree in Architectural Design or related area At least two years of experience in a relevant field Skilled in AutoCAD and design software Knowledge of building systems and relevant codes Robust written and verbal communication skills Leverage your interior design expertise to enhance KPU’s facilities and support academic success.
