Part-time Dental Assistant (Newmarket)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Orthodontic experience will be highly valued Responsibilities - Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments - Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies - Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when needed - Provide patient support by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort - Manage patient records accurately within dental management system Abeldent. - Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient information - Maintain a clean and organized clinical setting following infection control protocols - Support the dental reception team with check-in/check-out processes as needed Requirements - Prior experience or training in dental assisting preferred, including familiarity with Abeldent and orthodontics - Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics - Strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control, and sterilization techniques - Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Certification or training in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory - Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work part-time hours consistent with practice needs Pay: $20.52-$34.43 per hour Benefits: - Company events - Dental care - On-site parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oat70
