Line Cook (Newmarket)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence. Responsibilities - Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. - Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times. - Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. - Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. - Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. - Maintain equipment in good working order and report any issues to management. Qualifications - Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred. - Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is essential. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. - Passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is a plus.
