Server/bartender Newmarket

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient server and bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, and experience in a rapid-paced restaurant environment. As a key member of our team, you will create a welcoming atmosphere for guests while ensuring smooth bar operations and adherence to food safety standards. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS Take drink orders from customers, ensuring timely service and customer satisfaction Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling regulations at all times Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible serving practices in accordance with alcohol service laws Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and fostering a welcoming environment Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours Requirements Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail Must be at least 21 years old (if applicable based on local laws) Hospitality experience is highly valued, along with a personable attitude and team-oriented mindset This position offers an engaging work setting where your hospitality skills can shine.
