Sr Electrical Engineer (East Gwillimbury)

Sr Electrical Engineer Location: Newmarket, ON Salary: $82,000 - $98,000 per year (guaranteed based on qualifications and experience) Overview Support in‑house testing on a broad range of components and assemblies to support the nuclear power industry. Responsibilities Review and understand large and complex customer purchase orders, technical specifications, and quality assurance requirements and translate that into design, procurement, qualification, and testing documents. Ensure compliance with customer purchasing requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards & regulations. Determine design approaches and parameters for testing and qualifying equipment and systems. Anticipate and mitigate potential failure modes to improve probability of successful results. Facilitate factory acceptance tests; document and evaluate results of electrical and electromechanical components and systems. Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and review vendor capability to support product compliance and verification. Lead technical support of failure investigations and support bid responses. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the company Quality Program and nuclear regulatory requirements. Work collaboratively with all team members to achieve project objectives including safety, quality, and customer schedule. Serve as a mentor for less experienced staff, assisting others in resolution of complex challenges. Work safely in accordance with company policy at all times. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 3–5 years of related experience; regulated industry experience preferred. Excellent organization and communication (written and oral) skills. Attention to detail is a must. Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office.
