ABA Instructor Therapist (Niagara Falls)

Aba Instructor Therapist - Niagara Contract Position - Part time or Full time Nexus Therapy is looking for skilled Instructor Therapists to provide ABA therapy services to children in the home setting. Candidates are responsible for implementing treatment plans for preschool and school age children, and adolescents (ages 0-18) under RBA/BCBA supervision. Positions available in St. Catharines, Thorold, Welland and Niagara Region are for 20-30 hrs per week with the potential to build to full time hours. Start Date: Immediate - Starting rate: $60.00 per vist (2 hours in duration) - Day time sessions are a minimum of 3 hrs from 9-12 or 1-4 pm at the client's home - After school sessions are a minimum of 2 hrs from 4:30-6:30 pm at the client's home Key Responsibilities: - Implement the ABA program related to the needs and goals of the client under BCBA supervision - Support client goals through implementing strategies and monitoring progress. - Data Collection and communication with BCBA / RBA. - Maintain a valuable rapport with the interdisciplinary team, including the family. - Create and maintain a healthy and positive environment for the client to promote progress. - Provide consultation and education to the family regarding the client's needs and goals. - Create optimal opportunities for learning by including the family into the therapy sessions. - Candidates must adhere to the policies and procedures of the company. Qualifications: - Educational and or Clinical background in applied behavioural analysis - Experience implementing ABA teaching strategies with children ASD and learning disabilities. - Excellent communication and analytical skills along with strong organizational abilities. - Enthusiastic with the ability to connect with children and work successfully within the team. - Independent, self motivated, yet willing to accept guidance and feedback from Supervisors. - Valid Drivers License and access to vehicle during working hours. - Available to work during the day, evenings, and optional weekends. - Vulnerable Sectors Check website: Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $30.00 per hour Application question(s): - Do you have permanent residency status in Ontario? - Do you have 1 year of ABA therapy and autism related experience?
