CDDA is seeking a Common Core Trainer, North Bay

The Trainer is responsible for delivering Ontario Common Core (Surface) training for diamond drilling, focused on entry-level workers (Runner/Helper progressing to Driller). The role ensures training aligns with Ontario standards and national occupational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver classroom and hands-on CommonCore training (Curriculum provided)

Ensure training meets Ministry and MIHR safety, regulatory, and industry standards

Evaluate participant competency and provide feedback

Maintain training records and documentation

Promote a strong safety culture and safe work practices

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in surface diamond drilling

Experience as a Driller or Senior Helper preferred

Train-the-Trainer certification required

Must be accredited in the Ontario Surface Diamond Driller Program (#770200) modules they are delivering (Common Core and any Specialty modules), and maintain accreditation as required

Knowledge of Ontario Common Core and safety regulations

Previous training experience is an asset

Authorized to sign and date trainee Performance Objectives as the Trainer upon demonstrated competency (Trainer’s Signature). Note; this role does not act as the company’s MTCU/MLITSD Signing Authority Designate.

A combination of classroom and field settings. Some travel may be required.
