Academic Coaching Student Assistant, North Bay

Support peers in their academic journeys as an Academic Coaching Student Assistant. This role emphasizes individualized coaching, resource development, and promoting effective academic initiatives.

The Academic Success Program entails mentoring students by crafting personalized Academic Success Plans and connecting them to appropriate academic resources. You will engage in conversations to assess progress while facilitating initiatives that empower student success. Your contributions will also involve the creation of engaging communication strategies and participation in professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:• Develop asynchronous and synchronous academic resources • Connect students with relevant academic support • Assist in formulating individualized support plans • Conduct one-on-one discussions to track student progress • Organize and promote Student Success events

Requirements:• 2nd year student or higher with minimum 75% GPA • Strong interpersonal communication abilities • Familiarity with university programs and student services • Participation in the NUWORK Program is essential • Dependable and punctual with a sense of responsibility
