Patient Care Lab Technician, North Bay

Deliver exceptional patient care as a Patient Care Lab Technician. Play a crucial part in the specimen collection journey, ensuring patients feel supported and informed.

In this role, you are responsible for collecting specimens while maintaining a caring attitude towards patients. You will perform necessary procedures, such as phlebotomies and ECGs, and ensure that all documentation is thoroughly completed. Your customer-focused approach will enhance patient satisfaction and help streamline the collection process.

Key Responsibilities:• Greet and provide information to patients • Conduct phlebotomies and ECG tracings • Perform specialty test collections with care • Complete data entry accurately and promptly • Prepare specimens for testing and transport

Requirements:• Preferred graduate of Laboratory Assistant program • Phlebotomy skills are an asset • ECG training is beneficial • Proficient computer skills, typing 40 wpm or more • Strong interpersonal skills and empathy
