Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent kitchen skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Duties - Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards - Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients - Cook menu items with precision, maintaining consistency and quality - Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations - Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts - Follow proper food safety practices and monitor storage of ingredients to prevent spoilage - Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks - Assist with plating and presentation of dishes for service Skills - Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting - Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation protocols - Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently under time constraints - Excellent understanding of kitchen operations and food industry best practices - Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members - Knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary terminology - Attention to detail in food presentation and quality control - Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory for motivated learners - A minimum of three years work experience in a restaurant kitchen environment This role is vital for delivering exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining a safe and productive kitchen environment.
