Maintenance "A" Worker (North Bay)

Maintenance A Worker Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Minimum 5-7 Years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or a related skilled trades environment, ideally within a large residential, healthcare, institutional, or campus-style setting. · Demonstrated hands-on experience performing a broad range of maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing repairs, carpentry, drywall and painting, minor mechanical repairs, and general building upkeep. · Experienced with power tools and is familiar with electrical- wired systems. · Pays close attention to detail. Exhibits solid time management skills · Demonstrates familiarity with site safety precautions. · Is capable of adapting repair skills and mechanical knowledge to a wide range of different requests. · Demonstrates ability to operate mechanical, landscaping, snow removal and outdoor equipment. · Can respond quickly and calmly to emergency requests. · Communicates clearly and effectively with others to describe the problem and solution involved in particular maintenance requests. Works well with a team and able to follow instructions and procedures. · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and is able to follow instructions · A valuable attendance record is required · Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset Work Environment Work may be conducted either inside or outside according to maintenance requests. Tasks may involve moderate to heavy physical labour. Must be in good physical condition and must participate in and successfully pass a Work Abilities Assessment arranged by the employer before commencing employment.
