Store Manager Salt Spring Island

OVERVIEW We operate bright, clean, and well-organized recycling centres across Vancouver Island and Salt Spring Island. Our goal is simple: make recycling a genuinely positive experience so more people choose to do it. As Manager, you'll lead day-to-day operations, maintain a protected and welcoming environment, and be the driving force behind a team of 2–5 staff members. What you'll do Plan, organize, and oversee all daily operations including opening and closing procedures Manage and motivate a small team — recruiting, training, and creating a positive work environment Handle cash and bank orders accurately; complete daily reports and administrative paperwork Implement company policies and respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and issues Conduct weekly pick-ups using a work truck Maintain clear communication with owners What you bring: Strong leadership and team-building instincts Solid decision-making and problem-solving ability Excellent communication skills — written and verbal Planning, organizational, and business acumen Comfort handling cash responsibly Basic computer proficiency Resourcefulness, resilience, and a strong work ethic Requirements Valid BC driver's licence in good standing Forklift operator certification (training provided) Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs Able to walk and stand for an 8-hour shift Comfortable working in a fast-paced workplace Honesty and integrity — non-negotiable All final candidates will be required to provide a BC Driver's Abstract, and skilled references.
