School District71 seeks a dynamic Outdoor Blended Learning Teacher for Grades K-9 in Cowichan Valley, BC. Empower students through experiential and place-based learning in an inclusive environment.

The temporary role of 0.50 FTE HLC Teacher targets multi-grade classes, supporting diverse learners with unique needs. You will facilitate face-to-face instruction up to 2.5 days a week and engage students during home-learning days. The ideal candidate will employ innovative methods in curriculum integration, project-based learning, and collaborative planning with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:• Deliver engaging face-to-face instruction in outdoor settings • Create online learning resources using platforms like Google Classroom • Support multi-grade classes with diverse learning needs • Coordinate community-based programs and parent workshops • Collaborate with educational partners to enhance student engagement

Requirements:• Certification in teaching online or blended programs in BC • Experience in experiential and outdoor learning environments • Wilderness First Aid is an asset; Standard First Aid required • Proven collaborative skills within a teacher team • Advanced skills in e-portfolios and assessment practices
