Vice Principal Gulf Islands Secondary School School District No. 64 (Gulf Islands) invites applications for the 1.0 FTE continuing position of Vice Principal of Gulf Islands Secondary School commencing August 1, 2026, with a minimum salary of $141,771. The school is centrally located on Salt Spring Islandand has a projected enrolment of 600 students in grades 8 to 12. Gulf Islands School District is located in the Salish Sea and is home to five island communities – Salt Spring, Pender, Galiano, Mayne, and Saturna. The Position The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality programs to secondary students, for the operation of the school, and for district-level duties as required. This position requires a high level of energy and an ability to sustain a heavy and varied workload. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work successfully with all partner groups in a collaborative and dynamic basis. Evidence of previous school leadership is required, and experience as a principal or vice-principal is preferred. Documented qualificationmustinclude: - Valid B.C.
