Description
Help Desk Analyst Employment Type: Full-time, permanent. Office-based position located on campus at 1975 Renfrew Road, Shawnigan Lake. Position Start Date: Ideal start date June 2026, though a later start may be considered. Compensation: Annual salary range $50,000 - $67,275. Starting salary determined based on knowledge, experience, and internal parity. Core Responsibilities Respond and track support requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically. Identify and elevate situations to senior IT staff when appropriate. Provide routine technical support to end users on‑site and remotely for computer applications and hardware (e.g., PCs, servers, printers). Investigate and resolve user issues. Troubleshoot basic software, hardware, and network issues. Support end users with setup, installation, troubleshooting, and supporting workstations, printers, mobile devices, and applications. Apply strong basic troubleshooting skills to a wide range of information systems and applications. Assist on project implementations and system upgrades as needed. Perform other duties as required. Requirements Degree or Diploma in a technical‑related program (IT preferred). One to three years of experience in a technical support role. Strong knowledge of Google ChromeOS, Google Workspaces, Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and PC hardware. Excellent knowledge of networking, servers, and web application principles. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification is considered beneficial. Advanced PC hardware, peripherals & software troubleshooting skills. Demonstrable experience in IT infrastructure. Experience supporting mobile devices. Knowledge of common network terminologies & topologies. Effective written and oral communication and customer service skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. High degree of resourcefulness and flexibility, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
