The FNHA seeks an Indigenous Educator to enhance harm reduction efforts across BC First Nations. This role requires strong communication skills and a deep understanding of both Indigenous and Western harm reduction practices. You’ll support community education while implementing Safer Use Supply programs through frequent travel within the Vancouver Island Region.
Key Responsibilities:• Deliver engaging presentations to diverse community audiences • Apply Indigenous harm reduction principles in community workshops • Facilitate Naloxone training and drug checking sessions • Support the implementation of Safer Use Supply programs • Collaborate with Indigenous leadership and health professionals
Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience • 3-5 years in Indigenous harm reduction • Experience working with Indigenous communities • Strong skills in community engagement • Willingness to travel frequently
