Journeyman Ironworker, Squamish

Position: Journeyman Ironworker (NOC 72105)
Location of Work: Business address is 37322 Galbraith Road, Squamish BC V8B 0K1, employees will be working at various worksites in the Squamish and Vancouver area.
Number of Positions Available: 1
Start Date: As soon as possible
Benefits: Medical/dental benefits for full-time employees is offered after 3 consecutive months of full-time employment. Employer pays 50% of coverage, employee pays other 50% of coverage.
Wage: $38.09 per hour, with eligibility for salary reviews and bonuses at employer’s discretion
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time
Vacation: 4% of total wages
Hours per Week: 40 hours per week

Job Duties:
• Review and understand drawings, detail sheets, and blueprints.
• Identify, unload, inspect, position, and secure steel units based on work specifications for various types of buildings and other structures.
• Perform packing, tying, and cutting of steel units using required tools.
• Work with scaffolding, hoisting equipment, and rigging, and in conjunction with crane operators, including at heights.
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety practices and procedures.
Position Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of work experience as an ironworker.
