Electrical Engineer (North Vancouver)

Responsibilities: - Support the design and execution of electrical power systems by preparing calculations and design packages that align with contract requirements. - Develop detailed engineering documents, including Electrical Load Lists, Single Line Diagrams, Cable Diagrams, Instrumentation and Controls Lists, and wiring schematics. - Conduct trade studies—both formal and informal—to identify the most efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions. - Generate technical specifications, material requisitions, and Bills of Materials in accordance with client and project standards. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, participating in design reviews and ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems. - Assist in engineering close-out activities, ensuring all documentation, compliance requirements, and deliverables are met. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. - 2+ years of post-secondary experience in Electrical, controls and instrumentation Engineering is vital - Experience in heavy industrial environments is required; shipyard experience is a strong asset. - Strong proficiency in technical writing and documentation, including specifications, procedures, and reports.
