Application Development Supervisor at Seaspan, North Vancouver

Seaspan is seeking an experienced Application Development Supervisor to lead a technical team focused on software design and performance. This role will involve overseeing development best practices and improving application systems.

The Application Development Supervisor will direct a team of developers while ensuring adherence to coding standards, system design, and timely project delivery. You will manage the development of new functionalities using advanced technologies, including C#, .NET Core, and SQL. Your leadership will guide troubleshooting efforts, technical challenges, and collaboration with various stakeholders to optimize business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:• Supervise application developers for design and coding best practices • Lead new functionality development and system integrations • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively • Collaborate with teams to enhance overall system stability • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to development staff

Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field • Minimum 5 years in a development role • At least 3 years in a supervisory capacity • Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, and SQL • Familiarity with enterprise-level systems and QA methodologies
