Position Overview The Process Engineer Co‑op (OPS) is responsible for supporting engineering and operating activities at Carbon Engineering’s Innovation Centre. The role collaborates with the engineering and production team to support improvements to process units, execution test campaigns, data analysis and plant troubleshooting. This 8‑12 month co‑op starts September2026, is on‑site in Squamish, BC, and offers relocation support (first four weeks company‑paid accommodation). The position pays $22‑26per hour. Responsibilities - Demonstrate a positive safety culture and report unsafe conditions, incidents or near‑misses in line with company policy. - Support the production and engineering teams in troubleshooting plant issues through field assessments, review of drawings, documentation and plant data. - Contribute to the non‑conformance system for all process upsets and deviations, perform event investigations and generate corrective actions. - Support operational execution of test campaigns, including communication of objectives and results, plant readiness and performance oversight. - Support development and maintenance of SOPs, MoCs and engineering drawings. - Collect, analyze and report plant data and lab results, and generate technical reports and presentations. Education & Experience - Currently enrolled in a Canadian post‑secondary institute (2nd, 3rd or 4th year). - Preference for candidates in a relevant BEng program (Chemical, Process, Systems, Mechanical). - Motivated curiosity and mechanical aptitude. - Ability to work in all weather conditions and a noisy work environment; safe handling of chemical products required. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Explorer mindset – thrive on doing things that have not been done before.
