The Job: Our Sr Line Cooks are one of many behind-the-scene heroes of our businesses. To join our team, here are the basics of what would be expected of you: - Working all line & prep positions, in a competent and confident manner - Cohesively working with the rest of the BOH team. - Performing all assigned duties as required, including prep responsibilities, deep clean requirements, etc. - Contributing to the creation of prep lists, as well as contributing to the completion of daily prep lists in advance of service. - Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as directed. - Cleaning and maintaining all stations in practicing food safety, sanitation, and organizational skills. - Understanding how to effectively use and maintain all kitchen equipment as needed. - Completing all assigned regular deep cleans duties, sanitization procedures, and daily temperature checks. - Follow proper reporting procedures for accidents and incidents to ensure follow up and prevention. - Staying productive at all times, and consistently looking for next task that needs to be completed. - Assisting Management with orders and receiving as needed or directed. - Acting as a leader and providing a positive example for junior line cooks and dishwashing staff regarding day-to-day expectations. - Actively contributing to positive and productive communication between team members and management. - Actively working with Management to identify day-to-day issues and working to proactively solve identified issues before they become serious problems. What we are looking for: - 3+ years of Line Cook experience in full-service restaurant kitchens is required. - Weekend availability (Saturday & Sunday) is required. - Valid Food Handler's Certification will be an asset. - Intermediate knife skills required.
