Swim Instructors / Lifeguards Wanted, Oakville

Position Overview Goldfish Swim School is seeking energetic and engaging children’s swim instructors for the Oakville location. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to work a minimum of two shifts per week.

Responsibilities

Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum while ensuring a fun learning environment.

Enforces safety rules and regulations, performs rescues, and administers first aid when necessary.

Evaluates students’ performance and monitors ongoing improvement.

Interacts with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and acts as an ambassador to ensure satisfaction.

Uses problem‑solving and creative thinking skills to address challenges students encounter.

Inspects pool areas before and after each class for maintenance, cleanliness, or damage issues and reports concerns to management.

Maintains and stores pool equipment properly, including lane lines.

Reports accidents and incidents to management and completes required documentation and paperwork.

Occasionally performs light cleaning duties such as tidying pool area or trash removal.

Participates in training as required.

Requirements Minimum of two shifts per week.

Education&Experience

Must be at least 16 years old at time of application.

Current Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross or National Lifesaving Course.

Current Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED.

Previous experience delivering high‑quality swimming lessons is preferred.

Compensation $19.00— $20.00 per hour, with a pay increase after 12 months of continuous service.
