Description
TalentWorld is recruiting a Machinist for one of its valued manufacturing partners. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for operating manual grinding equipment while also supporting various machining and finishing operations in a cross-trained production environment. You will help produce high-quality machined components while ensuring work meets engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. What’s in it for you: - Straight Day Shift - $35/hour based on experience - Comprehensive benefits package - Permanent direct-hire opportunity - Stable, long-term manufacturing environment - Opportunity to work with precision machining and grinding equipment Machinist Responsibilities: - Operate manual cylindrical grinding equipment to finish precision machined components - Support machining operations including manual and CNC equipment as required - Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T; specifications - Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and verniers - Deburr, sand, and polish parts to meet quality standards and production requirements - Maintain tight tolerances and ensure dimensional accuracy throughout the machining process - Perform basic machine maintenance, coolant checks, and daily equipment cleaning - Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment Machinist Qualifications: - 2–5 years of machining or grinding experience in a manufacturing setting - Experience operating manual grinding equipment or cylindrical grinders preferred - Experience working with manual or CNC machining equipment considered an asset - Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings - Experience working with precision measuring instruments and maintaining tight tolerances - Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machining tools, fixtures, and shop equipment - Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks This posting is for a position currently vacant within our client’s organization.
