Production Associate (Oakville)

Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description This role focuses on packaging fruit fillings in a fast-paced production environment, working across fondant and packaging areas. You will handle repetitive tasks, operate and support automated packaging lines, and perform regular lifting while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and product quality. The position requires solid attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Responsibilities Package fruit fillings in both fondant and packaging areas while following all safety and quality procedures. Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs periodically throughout the shift, including consistent lifting of 2025 lbs in the fondant area. Operate and support robotic packaging lines by loading wrapping materials onto machines (approximately 50 lbs) as needed. Work collaboratively in teams to keep packaging operations aligned with the pace of the robotic lines. Assemble and package boxes, then load them onto skids in an organized and safe manner. Use basic math skills to plan and execute safe and efficient stacking patterns on skids, ensuring correct quantities per work order. Essential Skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as required. Experience performing general labor or production work in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for inventory counts, documentation, and planning safe stacking patterns on skids. Work Environment The facility operates under strict Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures, providing a very clean and well-organized production environment. The atmosphere can be warm in the summer and carries a sweet fruit filling aroma. Employees work around automated and robotic packaging lines, performing standing and repetitive tasks throughout their shifts. Shifts The role is primarily on the afternoon shift from 2:00 . to 10:30 .; initial training takes place on day shift for 23 weeks.
