Description
Assistant Store Manager Responsibilities - Lead the team and oversee day‑to‑day store operations, including opening/closing, staff scheduling, and daily/weekly goal completion. - Provide professional customer service (in‑person and over the phone), manage customer complaints, and ensure accurate sales quotes and pricing. - Assist with implementation and training of office procedures, including onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and recruitment. - Supervise office staff, process orders and invoices, manage accounts receivable, liaise with suppliers, and assist with weekly payroll. - Demonstrate excellent time‑management, multitasking, and conflict‑resolution skills to effectively handle customer and employee issues. Qualifications - 1+ year experience as store manager or co‑assistant manager in retail sales. - Excellent computer skills; experience with NetSuite ERP system is an asset. - Knowledge of the landscaping/garden supply industry and/or landscape experience is an asset. - Experience in the customer‑service industry. - Ability to work a adaptable schedule, including weekdays and Saturdays.
