Senior Software Engineer – Android Full-Stack As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, testing, and maintenance of high-performance software applications, including bridging high-level application logic with Android framework internals to create next-generation infotainment experiences. What you’ll do AOSP & Framework Development: Lead the design and implementation of system-level components and applications within the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Architectural Leadership: Drive the adoption of Clean Architecture and up-to-date design patterns to build scalable and robust software. Full-Stack Android Engineering: Develop high-performance features using Java and Kotlin, ensuring seamless integration between the application layer and Android middleware. Technical Ownership: Drive end-to-end technical solutions while collaborating across cross-functional teams. Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous testing standards, including unit, instrumentation, and integration testing. System-Level Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex bottlenecks and race conditions within multi-layered, distributed system environments. AI Innovation: Leverage AI tools within the development process to drive engineering efficiency and innovation. What you’ll need to get the job done Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. 7+ years of professional software development experience, with a specific focus on application layers. 3+ years of professional experience in Java. 3+ years of professional experience in Kotlin. Deep understanding of Clean Architecture and bridging application logic with framework internals. Nice to have Experience working within automotive environments, including infotainment systems or Android Automotive OS (AAOS). Familiarity with C/C++ for lower-level or performance-critical components within the Android stack. Experience with embedded Linux systems and hardware-software integration. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, build systems (e.g., Bazel, Gradle), and release automation in large-scale environments. Experience optimizing system performance, memory usage, and power efficiency in resource-constrained devices. Salary: $100,000 - $124,000 a year This position is for an active vacancy.
