Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Camp Counselors to join our summer camp team. This role offers an exciting prospect to work with children in an energetic outdoor workplace, fostering their growth, creativity, and social skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, engaging them in educational and recreational activities, and creating a secure and fun atmosphere for all campers. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities, including games, arts and crafts, sports, and educational sessions Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social development Provide tutoring or instructional support when needed, especially in areas related to early childhood education or specific skill-building Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among campers Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other team members regarding camper progress or concerns Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity areas and camp facilities Lead by example in demonstrating positive behavior, cooperation, and enthusiasm Skills Experience or background in tutoring or teaching children Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus Proven ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and team members Creative problem‑solving skills to manage group dynamics and unexpected situations Ability to lead engaging activities that promote learning while ensuring safety and fun Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for success in this role Job Type Part‑time Pay $17.20-$23.82 per hour Expected hours 31.5 per week Perks Casual dress In office parking Work Location In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2prby6
