Description
Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is a steelmaking coal producer located in British Columbia. We’re seeking a project support professional for an 8 or 12‑month assignment starting September 2026.
In this role, you will:
Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
Support the Project Management team in evaluating vendor proposals, progressing designs, completing the project framework documents, supporting RFPs, scheduling, cost control, change management, contractor management, construction execution, and commissioning
Manage projects at different stages, including scoping, feasibility, execution and completion
Work within multi‑disciplinary professional teams, supporting projects including major building renovation and replacement of underground waterlines
Seek ways to improve processes by collaborating with the engineering team, operations and consultants on new process development, quality assurance initiatives, day‑to‑day troubleshooting, and evaluation test work
Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to improve business operations
Requirements:
Working toward an undergraduate degree in Civil, Projects Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a passion for project‑based work
Comfortable working in a dynamic industrial work environment with a range of engineering, technical and operational personnel
Motivated self‑starter able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, able to convey complex ideas to all levels
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is advantageous
