Job Overview We are seeking a friendly, professional Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional guest services at our hotel. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth check-in and check-out processes. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued to assist diverse guest needs and enhance overall guest experience. Duties - Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures - Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy - Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services - Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction - Maintain accurate records of reservations, cancellations, and billing information - Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and filing - Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest needs promptly - Uphold hotel policies and ensure compliance with safety standards - Support guest services by offering assistance with luggage, transportation arrangements, or special requests Qualifications - Previous experience in front desk operations or hospitality is preferred but not required, willing to train the right candidate - Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills - Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor - Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a rapid-paced environment - Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse guests effectively - Familiarity with front desk software, phone systems, and basic administrative tasks is a plus - Prior hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates - Professional appearance and positive attitude essential for representing the hotel brand effectively - Light Housekeeping and Laundry Duties required - Ability to cross-train in HK room cleaning and laundry Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.25-$19.50 per hour Ability to commute/relocate - Cranbrook, BC V1C 1A6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Education: - Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o3ep6
