Description
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must already hold a valid Canadian work permit. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applicants without legal authorization to work in Canada. Do you enjoy organized chaos, perfectly timed tickets, and pretending you’re fine during a dinner rush? Can you dice onions at high speed while debating the best ski run, bike path or hiking trail in Fernie? Do you believe “behind” and “corner” are complete sentences? Perfect. The Bridge Bistro is looking for a reliable, experienced Line / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. Whether you thrive on the line during a rush or enjoy the precision of prep work, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and works well as part of a team. We work hard, move fast, and take food seriously. This is the kind of job where you’ll finish service tired, slightly covered in prep stains, smelling vaguely of garlic and fryer oil, and still probably go for a beer with the crew afterward, or a bike ride. Or you do your favorite activities during the day, and finish off with the most productive evening service. What You’ll Actually Be Doing - Prepping vegetables, sauces, soups, and proteins - Working the line during busy services - Stocking and organizing deliveries - Cleaning and maintaining stations - Helping newer staff learn the ropes - Staying productive when it’s quiet and calm when it’s not Some heavy lifting is involved.
