Salary Range:
$70,392– $119,187 annually, based on length of service and qualifications per collective agreement.

Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).
Job Summary This temporary contract (starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to June 25, 2027, or upon return of the incumbent) requires instruction of Science for grades 11‑12, including Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, and Environmental Science. All teaching will occur on site.
Qualifications
Preference given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
Must have a degree, formal training, and/or teaching experience in Science at the Secondary level, with specific subject and level experience as required.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging science lessons for grades 11‑12.
Assess student progress and provide feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum development.
Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
