Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for recent dishes or improvements. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Robust skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
