Job Description We are looking for dynamic, passionate individuals to join the Front of House teams at the Vermillion Room, one of our largest and most iconic venues at Fairmont Banff Springs. As a Host or Food Porter, you will play a key role in creating exceptional first impressions and delivering seamless service experiences in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.

Food Porter

Availability Both casual and full‑time positions are available. Casual candidates must be able to work a minimum of two days per week, eight hours per shift, and be available for the full season from June to October 15th. Preference will be given to those who can work the entire season. This role is not eligible for staff accommodations.

Starting Rate USD $18.08 to $18.70 per hour, depending on position.

Responsibilities

Host:

Meet, greet, and seat guests; maintain daily floor plans to accommodate forecasted guest and staffing levels.

Food Porter:

Transport food from the kitchen to the dining room quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications

Must have a Pro‑Serve certification for Alberta before start date.

Previous experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced hospitality environment (required or preferred depending on position).

POS system experience is an asset.

Knowledge of the hospitality industry and passion for food and drink.

Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to lift and carry up to 40+ pounds and remain on feet for eight hours or more.

Additional Position Requirements

Host: Minimum of one year of food and beverage experience.

Food Porter: At least six months of food and beverage experience, preferably in a fast‑paced luxury environment, and ability to carry three plates simultaneously.
