Infant Toddler Educator
Summit Community Services Society (SCSS) seeks an enthusiastic ECE IT to join our team. The candidate will practice according to IH child care licensing regulations, the ECE code of ethics and the BC Early Learning Framework. The successful candidate will plan, lead, and guide activities throughout the day, such as reading, physical activity, and creative expression through art and song.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, carry out and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children 0-3 yrs; to encourage independence and growth in all areas of the children’s social, emotional and physical development. Work in collaboration with co‑educators. Maintain open, respectful and positive communication with co‑educators; parents and family members.Follow and uphold all Licensing regulations and confidentiality guidelines. Maintain an organized and a welcoming environment. Carry out regular daily cleaning and sanitizing duties. EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED
ECE Certification (IT would be preferred) First Aid Certificate Safe Food Certificate Criminal Record Check JOB SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good organization and time management skills. Ability to work in partnership with team members. Sensitive and responsive to cultural differences in the client population. Positive, caring and compassionate attitude. Safety conscious with keen observational skills. Excellent leadership skills and confidence in giving direction.Excellent verbal communication skills.
