Line Cook (Kimberley)

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Line Cook, at Kimberley Alpine Resort. This position reports to the Kitchen Manager, the ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and team player and will have previous kitchen experience. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and standards, maintaining a clean and organized station, and ensuring a high standard of food quality, presentation, and timing. Key Responsibilities - Prepare all food items consistently and efficiently according to recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards - Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service - Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment - Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards at all times - Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory - Work with kitchen team to ensure that food is served promptly and that all guest orders are completed together and correctly - Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift - Communicate any product shortages, maintenance issues, or concerns to supervisors - Responsible for opening and closing procedures - Assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed or directed by management Qualifications - Experience in all aspects of cooking, meat cutting, baking, and desserts - Banquet experience an asset - Knowledge of health, sanitation, and fire regulations - Must have Food Secure Certificate Conditions - Work flexible shifts, varying hours - Working holidays, weekends and evenings can be expected - Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods Compensation and Benefits - Competitive wage: $18.04-$21.00 per hour dependent on experience - Mountain access perks: Full-time staff receive an RCR pass with full mountain access, plus reciprocal resort tickets and discounted friends & family tickets - Staff discounts: Enjoy savings on food & beverage, rentals, retail items and hotel accommodation. - Employee Events & Recognition: Participate in fun, year-round staff events and be recognized through our employee awards program - Join a fun and passionate team to share RCR mountain adventures with!
