Salary Range:

The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $70,392 to $118,611, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).

Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.

Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting.

Job Summary Learning Services Teacher – Grades K‑6. 1.0 FTE continuing contract, starting September 8, 2026, or upon completion of the posting process. Must have a degree/diploma or certification in Learning Services/Inclusive Education and relevant elementary level teaching experience. Bilingual in French is an asset. All work will be on site.

Qualifications Education:

Degree/diploma or certification in Learning Services/Inclusive Education; applicable degree/formal training at elementary level.

Experience:

Teaching experience at the elementary level or equivalent training.

Certification:

BC Teacher Certification preferred.

Other:

Bilingual in French is considered an asset.
