We are seeking a teacher who: - builds robust rapport with students and creates a safe and caring learning environment; - provides an engaging setting for students from a variety of backgrounds including at risk and educationally disengaged students; - works collaboratively as a team player in supporting the achievement of school goals; - has experience working in core academic courses( i.e., Social Studies 10, 20, and 30) - has experience teaching junior and senior options courses - specifically, Band/Music would be a valued asset. - is passionate about differentiating instruction and assessment for all learners; - is an excellent written and verbal communicator; - is well organized and willing to collaborate with a team about increasing student learning and success; - has experience teaching the most recent Alberta Senior High School Social Studies curriculum The successful candidate will possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
