Automotive Service Writer (High River)

High River Motors is seeking a motivated and experienced Service Writer to join our team. A Service Writer is responsible for accurately identifying and verifying a customer’s automotive service needs, and provide a professional, courteous, and positive customer service experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and sales skills, a courteous and positive team attitude, and the ability to effectively multi-task. Responsibilities will include: · Meet and greet service customers promptly in a professional and courteous manner · Inspect vehicles and refer to service history to accurately identify and verify customer’s service needs · Promote the sales of appropriate services, parts, and accessories by thoroughly understanding the product and associated service requirements · Provide accurate cost and time of completion estimates for the services recommended, communicate, and get proper authorization from customers · Check on progress of services to vehicles throughout the day and contact customer to communicate and receive approval regarding any changes in the cost-estimate, promised time of delivery or recommended services · Help the Sales Team with organizing repairs, sourcing the correct parts, providing them the proper estimate etc. · Perform customer service duties (such as: answering the phone, scheduling service appointments, and calling customers to inform them their vehicles are ready for pick up) · Manage and maximize shop workflow and schedules for technicians · Inspect vehicles prior to each customer delivery to ensure vehicles services and/or repairs are consistent with customer expectations Qualifications: · Two or more years of previous experience as a service advisor · Experience in handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment · Outstanding communication skills in both verbal and written · A desire to work in a fast paced, performance-based, environment · Great attitude with a high-energy personality · Excellent customer service skills · Qualified appearance and work ethic · Ability to work as a positive team member in a process driven environment · High School diploma or equivalent · Valid driver’s license in the Province of Alberta A career at High River Motors means you will enjoy: - Group Health Benefits - Training & Development Support - Vehicle Purchase & Service Incentives - Opportunities for Career Advancement - Employee recognition & rewards - Fun & Supportive Culture We thank all applicants in advance; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
